it dies --- end of story :) One of the plants that needs magnesium is the tomato plant. If tomatoes have insufficient magnesium they produce tomatoes with large black lesions known as blossom end rot. Magnesium is essential for normal fruit production.

∙ 12y agoNo, it would die as it needs magnesium to make chlorophyll, which is needed for the plant to photosynthesis (make food). Without chlorophyll can't make food and would die and turn yellow.
