But really, assuming you passed it fairly quickly it probably wouldn't harm you too much. However if it sat in your digestive tract for more than a couple of days you could have some minor poisoning from the copper and nickel that the coin is made of. Some individuals are sensitive to nickel and could react even more severely. If you swallow a quarter it will eventually work it's way through your system and be expelled with your crap with no major side effects. However while swallowing it, it could cause choking.
