Many wonderful things, if we can keep from destroying ourselves before we get there. We will probably have colonized the moon and Mars by then, and we might even have figured out how to travel to other star systems. We will be planning to colonize planets in other star systems, and/or we will be figuring out how to move earth's orbit farther out from the sun in the hope of helping it survive the demise of the sun. We will think back to the 21st century as obscure and desperately primitive, but perhaps including a few still noteworthy thinkers who helped guide us out of darkness. That is, if we think back this far at all. In our research, we will be using energies of now nearly unimaginable magnitudes, and we may possibly have come to the limit of particle physics. Perhaps we will have advanced to the point of actually exposing 'string' or 'branes' [as in string and membrane theory]. Perhaps we will have found a way to verify parallel universes, or do some time travel in some practical ways that we cannot now foresee.
Predicting events in the 100th century is highly speculative as it is thousands of years in the future. It is impossible to accurately foresee advancements in technology, society, or any other aspects of life at that time.
A century.

December 31, 1899 No, December 31, 1900. Think about it. The first century began with the year 1. In order to be one hundred years long it had to run through the year 100, not just 99. And if you go on counting by hundreds you get to 1900. Similarly the twentieth century ended in the year 2000.
