Hey David==It differes greatly between different areas of the country. Call a couple of local shops and get estimates. goodluckJoe My 1995 Camry blew a head gasket recently. I asked a Toyota dealer who quoted me $800. A couple of local shops told me $700. This does not include an extra $100 or so if the head is warped and needs to be resurfaced. Hope this helped.

One of the symptoms of a blown head gasket for a Toyota Camry is excessive steam or coolant coming from the tailpipe. Engine oil mixing with the coolant and a miss in the engine are also symptoms of a blown head gasket.

More than likely you have a blown head gasket. Replace the gasket and check the head for cracks or if it is warped. Do not continue to drive.

No. You can have the head gasket replaced. This is unless you kept driving the car with a blown head gasket and have totally destroyed the engine.

Heavy white smokes usually indicates a blown head gasket. You need to check compression for all cylinders to double check. Also monitor the coolant level, if it drops down, you definitely have a leak. If the compression test fails, it means that the leak is internal you have to replace the head gasket.
