Standard loadings for the 700 NE are 2000 fps. Going above that loading is possible, but the likelihood of damage to the rifle is significant. The likelihood of damage to the shooter is also quite high. That would result in a muzle energy of over 13,000 ft lbs, and a recoil equal to more than a dozen .308 cartridges. Never exceed established load data when reloading cartridges.
Then do not exceed reloading data. Standard load is 2000 fps with that bullet weight.

Grain is a unit of weight. There are 7000 grains in a pound. The number of grains loaded intoeach cartridge will vary, dpending on the cartidge, and on the powder used. IF it were 7 grains per catridge, you could reload 1000 cartridges. Divide 7000 by the weight of powder for each cartridge.
