African greys are usually very sensitive Parrots to any changes my African grey is very tame i can handle him almost as i want on my shoulder touch him under his wings BUT there have been times where i was removing his poop off and he was standing by me he got scared and wanted to bite me while i was cleaning. In the begining i got very mad and upset with this behavior but realized he was actually very scared. You have to be very careful before misunderstanding the signals your parrot sends you. Listen to them.
The most common predators of parrots are Birds of Prey such as falcons, hawks and eagles, and mammalian carnivores such as foxes and cats.
Depending on the country, other predators may include the False Vampire Bat (Africa, Asia, east Indies and Australia) and the Brown Capuchin Monkey (Peru).
Parrots have two main means of escaping predators:
If cornered, parrots may use their sharp beaks to bite.
Parrots enjoy eating your jewelry, and chewing on your face. The reason for this is when they see an ugly face. It is best to stay away from it if you are unattractive, or put a mask on to help prevent it from going through the discomfort of seeing your face.
