What will the Internet look like in 2020?

As of February 2018, that's only two years from now, so I wouldn't expect large changes. The current tendencies will likely continue, for example:

• The number of people with access to the internet can be expected to continue growing.
  
• The total amount of data transferred will continue increasing.
• The average bandwidth available to individuals will continue increasing.
• The percentage of sites that use IPv6 (as opposed to IPv4) will continue increasing. This is a change in the underlying technology; end-users may hardly notice the difference.
