- just come right out and say it because if you don't and you keep the relationship going without them knowing and than they find out by someone else they will just be hurt yes they might be upset but just let them cool down and than ask them what the think and ask if it is OK if he meets them just make sure he makes a good first impression but make sure he is himself and also be true to yourself do you love the guy or are you dating him for the attention? just say to them look mum/dad i am in love with someone but hes a bit different from the others i have dated because he is (age) and he would like to meet you i love him and i hope you approve of him too because with all due respect i wont leave him.
- I have dated a 15 year old at 12 years old it ended up with me breaking up with him because he acted way more sexually and I flat out told my parents and they just told me that i REALLY need to be careful because it could end in heart break and it did.
- It really depends on what the age difference is. If you are still young and dating someone who is considerably older than you then they will naturally be worried and against the relationship. The important thing is to talk to your parents about it - do not hide it. Respect what your parents have to say as they just want what's best for you.
