windows xp
The word 'Rare' is meaningless dude, do you mean RAM?
Windows XP can never "run like Windows 7", regardless of the amount of RAM installed.
You can run Windows 7 with 1-2 GB of RAM depending on what you are doing. (More stuff you need more RAM) I Would go with at least 4 if not 8 GB of RAM to run Windows 7.
The maximum amount of RAM supported by Vista is 128 Gb (Ultimate, Enterprise and Business).
You can check the ram of any Windows computer by holding the windows key and pressing the pause break key on the top-right of the keyboard
First go to Start > Control Panel > System. There you will find the RAM.
