Where can you find a picture of motor for changing spark plug wires on a 1996 V8 ford explorer?
I just have an adapter that i keep in the back of my explorer that goes from a 4 to 7 prong trailer hook up
On a 1996 Ford Explorer : Yes , the 5.0 liter ( 302 cubic inch ) V8 engine has ( 8 spark plug wires ) with ( 2 ignition coil packs )
A wire could be broken, a relay could be defective, it could be wired into the wrong relay, wires may have become disconnected, the plug itself may be corroded.
No. Ford Explorers use coil packs located near the rear of the engine about center. answer Yes ford explorer does have distributor. Look for the distributor on the engine block by tracing the spark plug wires to it.

What was included on my 1995 Explorer XLT with the trailer towing package was a " trailer tow jumper wiring harness" The part # is (F57B-13A576-A) It is 3 feet long with a flat connector on one end that has 4 wires white for male pin/green,yellow,black for female connections. The other end which plugs into the Explorer is round with 4 pins on one side (white, green, yellow, black wires) and 4 sockets. Ford refers to it as an 8 circuit connector.
need to know where transmission plug is for a 2002 ford explorer?
coil---3---4 pack--2---6 plug---1---5
Which engine do you have ? ( 4.0 L OHV / 4.0 L SOHC / 5.0 L V8 )
The spark plug gap for a 1998 Ford Explorer (V6 and V8 engines) is .054"
If it does not have a factory installed harness - U-Haul has a kit with instructions to tap into OEM system
