In fact, Peter only went to the tomb of Jesus in Luke and John, which are interdependent gospels. In Matthew, Jesus told the women to tell the disciples to go to Galilee, where he would meet them. Peter did not go to the tomb. In the "Long Ending" to Mark, the women told the disciples that Jesus had risen, but they did not believe. None of the disciples went to the tomb.
Actually it was Jesus that told the women to tell his disciples meet him in Galilee, (Matthew 28.10)
The women who went to the tomb early in the morning on the third day after Jesus' crucifixion were the first to encounter the resurrected Jesus. They were told by an angel at the tomb that Jesus had risen from the dead and instructed to inform the disciples.
Jesus told them to stay awake and wait.
one of his disciple's went against him. He told the Romans and they went to go get him. then he was tortured. wiped and sacrificed. :-(
An angel at the tomb told the disciples that Jesus was not there, as he had risen from the dead.
The angel told them that do not be worry because Jesus will come to take them.
Mary
Paul (see Acts chapter 28).
Matthew's Gospel: An angel came down and sat on the stone, and told the women that Jesus had risen. Mark's Gospel: A young man inside the tomb told the women that Jesus had risen. Luke's Gospel: Two men inside the tomb, presumably angels, told the women that Jesus had risen. John's Gospel: No one told the women that Jesus was risen. Mary Magdalene went to the tomb alone, but when she saw that the stone had been moved, she ran back and told the disciples, apparently without looking inside. After Peter and the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' had visited the tomb and found it empty, Mary saw Jesus himself.
In Luke 24:10, it is stated that the women who went to the grave of Jesus were Mary Magdalene, Joanna (the wife of Chuza) and Mary the mother of James.
She was among many women who went with Jesus and 'ministered to him out of their substance' (Luke 8.2,3}
