The angel told them that do not be worry because Jesus will come to take them.
It is called the Ascension of Jesus. After his resurrection, Jesus was taken up to heaven in the presence of his disciples.
After his resurrection, Jesus was on Earth for 40 days before ascending to heaven.
They replaced Judas, the traitor with a vote and then waited in an upper room for the Holy Spirit to come as Jesus promised. There is no record of any fear in them as when Jesus was crucified, (John 20.19)
Why did Jesus call the disciples?Jesus called the disciples because He wanted followers. The disciples (Jesus' followers) set an example for people back in Biblical times. The disciples were very helpful (most of them anyways.)
There were 12 disciples when Jesus walked the earth. Luke 6:13-16 gives us all their names. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus and hung himself, so after Jesus ascended back to heaven, Matthais took Judas' place. Today, anyone who has accepted Christ as their saviour, invited him into their lives, and who actively pursues him is also His disciple. :)
Jesus Christ ascended to heaven from Jerusalem after he came back from the dead.
uh i can tell you jesus is not the only one that went to heaven after he came back from the dead. but if that doesn't help why don't you try rewording it
No matter what we read back into the gospels in hindsight, they say that the disciples clearly did not expect Jesus to be raised. Once Jesus was arrested, we are told that the disciples, to a man, distanced themselves from him. None of them went to the tomb on Sunday morning, and they expressed surprise when he appeared to them.
Although not specifically mentioned, the disciples after being given power and authority from Jesus came back to Jesus rejoicing about the miracles they performed in His name. See Luke 10:17-19

Apostle Paul did not abandon Jesus when he needed him most. In fact Paul did not even meet Jesus in person and became a "Christian" believer after Jesus died and rose again then when up to Heaven. Paul was always faithful to Jesus. Now Peter, he is another matter. He denied being one of Jesus disciples after Jesus was killed and laid to rest. He feared the people who were harassing the disciples. He did "go back to Jesus" and became the leading Apostle. See the book of Acts to see how he lived for Jesus. Answer:Because it's Jesus' LIFE that saves us... not His DEATH."...if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; YE ARE YET IN YOUR SINS..." (I Cor.15:17).
