Long lasting would be Cedar,Redwood, and Cypress, which last longer, I'm not sure
Depends entirely on the kind of wood and how you prepare it. ( there is more than one kind of 'wood' )
Given average conditions hard wood will last longest.
A solid wood furniture will last you the longest. Just be careful that you are getting a product that is truly SOLID wood.
