The word horizon would've come before as the origins of both words "horizein" means the limit. Assuming that the horizon means the limit of the distance/land, then the word horizontal would've been built off that.

I think horizon came first because people from long ago named the horizon horizon and, from there, we developed the word horizontal. By the way, horizontal means running from side to side. Hope it helped!

twilight means when the sun rises, or when it sets/ the soft, diffused light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon. So they really isn't one, because if it can be sunrise and sun set, they isn't an oppisite. Maybe you could find a word which means the sun is above the horizon.
