Peculiar
Ginormous is not a real word, but a humorous conflation of two other words: enormous and gigantic. Enormous means "a lot bigger than normal or usual" and gigantic means "like a giant."
'Orinary' is gibberish. Possibly you meant 'ordinary' -which means regular, normal, customary, usual and commonplace.
Abnormal means deviating from what is usual or normal. It refers to something that is atypical or not characteristic of the majority.
It means outside of or in addition to, or beyond what is usual. For instance, extracurricular, means in addition to or outside of your normal curriculum.
routine, usual, natural, normal
Common, usual, typical, unexceptional, customary, general, ordinary, sane, rational, reasonable, well-adjusted, cool...
Usual or normal will work; I checked a thesaurus.
Deviation means changes from what has been presumed as usual or normal.
The word "comme" means "how" or "as". Comme un enfant = like a child. Comme d'habitude = As usual.
Hyper- is a fairly common prefix, found in such words as hypertension, hyperactive, hyperthermia. It means "more than usual". It is the opposite of the prefix hypo-, which means "less than normal".
In this context ... referring to directions at a surface ... the word "normal" doesn't mean 'usual' or 'typical'. It means the direction perpendicular to the surface. Knowing this strange (abnormal) use of the word should clear up the confusion.
Subnormal means below normal.
