Why does Katherine try to kill Damon?
you have to wait and see, seriously. all i know is that she's definitely not lying. a lot people think it's because Katherine truly loves stefan. i disagree because at the end of season 1, Katherine knew that both stefan and Damon could have died when all the other vampires from the tomb were going to be killed. if she really did love stefan, she would have made sure he was safe. i think it has to do something with what isobel said "As long as you have a Salvatore on each arm, you are doomed. Katherine was smart, she got out..."

In the Vampire Diaries books, Damon ends up with Bonnie and calls her "My little birdie" EWW ( I know very cheesy ). But in the TV show, Bonnie does not seem to be attracted to Damon and vice-versa. If Damon and Bonnie end up together I will be devastated. Team Delena fan 4eva!

I love the Vampire Diaries series (books). I have been in love with vampires since I read, watched, and fell in love with the Twilight series. Go Stefan lovers. I agree with everything you've said about Twilight and loving Stefan, but Damon is so much hotter! I'm in love with him almost as much as I am with Taylor Lautner. I still like Stefan more though. They are both hot but Stefan is hotter than Damon, he's just so fit! Anyone who loves Stefan I agree with them, he's so cute as well. Don't get me wrong, Damon is beautiful, but there is something about Stefan that makes him so much hotter and better. All the guys are really hot on The Vampire Diaries, but Stefan is the hottest! I still say Damon. Stefan reminds me of Edward from Twilight, who is to serious and needs to relax.

Do you mean Bonnie? She discovered she was a witch in Season 1 and is the great-great-great-great granddaughter of Emily Bennett, Katherine's handmaiden. Grams and Bonnie helped open the tomb and Damon discovered Katherine wasn't in it. Grams died due to overexertion from trying to break Emily's spell and Bonnie blamed Stefan and Damon for it. In the season finale, she helped Stefan rescue Damon when Grayson Gilbert's building was set on fire but later told Stefan that Damon had to change and if he harmed anybody she would take him down, even if that meant taking Stefan down with him.

Damon came back to mystic falls (in the TV show) to rescue Katherine from starvation, which he would have been successful if she was actually under there. In the book, she is under the church, but she isn't trapped, and Damon comes back to torment his brother, because he felt Stefan was responsible for Katherine's "death."A Different Perspective:In the TV show, Damon came back to get Katherine because the comet that he needed to cast the spell to free her had come back around. He thought that she was locked in a tomb under a church desiccating not starving, but it turned out that she wasn't there.In the books, Damon thought he came back because he felt like tormenting Stefan for what happened between them and Katherine. They had both fallen in love with her so she 'killed herself' to 'bring them together', but they just ended up killing each other. It turned out that she wasn't really dead and she used her Power to subconsciously make them decide to go to Mystic Falls.

Well he start's to fall in love with her little by little every episode. At first he just wanted her because she looked like Katrine but as you know she refused because she loves Stefan. Well Every episode he got to know her a little more and figured out she's not Katrine and he stared to like her for who she was. He started to consider her as a friend. But he Realized that he loved her ( not in a romantic way) in the episode As I lay Dying. That episode was all about Damon. Damon was about to die by a Ware Wolf bite and Elena Kissed him good bye (he didn't die) my guess would be that time.
