Buddhists believe that you are reincarnated as either an animal, a human or a plant depending on how well you lived your life (karma) unless in your human life you have become a true disciple of a satguru generally through medatation, you can achieve nirvania and your soul(atman/Jiva) returns to its true home of Nirvania made from a beatiful ocean of golden godness and other souls, free of all suffering!

Reincartation- your soul/true self(atman/jiva) travel to a different body depending on the privous karmas.

Buddhism does believe in the Atman, it just does not talk that much about it to stop confusion with the Aberhamic soul.

Should a Buddhist pick flowers?

For what reason would a buddhist want to pick flowers? Is the purpose because they are so pretty a buddhist cant walk away? Perhaps allowing the next person to also enjoy natures candies would be the kindest act. if say the buddhist were making an offering...a gift or something less self absorbed then this is also kind. If taking a flower killed its plant...that would be unkind...even as a gift. •:)

What is the Buddhist symbol for strength?

there is brute strength and there is spiritual strength. I would say the latter is non-violence in Buddhism, and therefore all buddhist symbols represent strength. Further than that you would have to look into Hindu, or Vedic, symbolism I'm afraid.
