That's a tough question. I just surveyed a 2000? Champ boat with an original Mark 75 Merc. The package looks amazing. The client paid 10,000 US for it. Do I think he paid too much? Yes. Can I see why he paid that much? Yes.
If you are looking to power a boat with the right power for it's age & type, you may get a good dollar for it. That said I'm sure you'll hear stories where people found them in scrap piles that were still running. These engines have no gear box, and present significant handling quirks. (They start in forward or reverse)
The correct answer is what will you pay, or what will someone else pay you.
All the best.

it really depends on its condition. what do you have?
Johnson 115's, model designation vlsif, were manufactored in 2001. As for value, I would wager to say 2500 to 3500, perhaps a bit more if in excellent condition and appearance.
In running condition around $450
