Well I had an ultrasound at 5.5 weeks and it wasn't able to pick up very well so I had to have a transvaginal. It should be able to see it but not very well. Drs recommend waiting until 6 weeks for ultrasound.

At 18 and a half weeks pregnant can an ultrasound read at 20 weeks what would be the reason Is the baby big can an ultrasound be off by 10 days?

At this stage, yes the ultrasound can be off by 10 days. Mine was off by ten days the other way, that is I thought I was 18 weeks and the ultrasound said 16 and a half. I knew when I had conceived because my husband had been away on a trip.

When did you conceive if your ultrasound says you are fourteen weeks pregnant?

Subtract fourteen weeks (7 days x 14) from the date of the ultrasound.

Is it possible to be further along in your pregnancy than what your ultrasound says?

When they do an ultrasound, they measure the baby's head and that's how they determine how far along you are. So if your baby's head is smaller than average, then they would give you a farther due date; If it's bigger than average they would give you a closer due date. Please remember your due date is an estimated guess, not the actual date you will absolutely deliver It depends how much the difference is and at what stage you have the ultrasound. At six weeks ultrasounds are accurate to within 2-3 days, by 12 weeks they are accurate to within 4-5 days and by 20 weeks they are only accurate within 5-7 days.

If an ultrasound says you are 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant is that the day you conceived or would it be that date plus an extra 2 weeks?

That means it is the date conceived (or within 48 hours of). It is never right on, but within a week of. Go by what the ultrasound says. No, if your ultrasound says 17 weeks and 2 days that would be that date plus 2 extra weeks, that is around the time of your last period, unless you have irregular periods or conceived straight after a miscarriage or something. The length of pregnancy is always measured from your last period even by ultrasound.

Can a baby be seen on ultrasound at 11 weeks without a heartbeat and be all right?

If the heartbeat is not visible at 11 weeks on an ultrasound, that would be cause for concern. The fetal heart begins beating approx. 22 days after implantation into the uterine lining. An ultrasound done at 6 weeks will confirm a viable pregnancy and you would be able to see the heart beating.

If your ultrasound says your LMP is 24W3d on dec 14th when did you conceive?

LMP stands for last menstrual period. 24W3D means that you are 24 weeks and 3 days along, there fore you would have conceived approximately 24 weeks and 3 days before December 14. However, those dates can be off as much as 2-3 weeks.

What are the complications for ultrasound measurements of head 36 weeks and abdomen 39 weeks 4 days in 27 year old female?

The only complication that can present would be an allergic reaction to the gel used for the ultrasound, which is very unlikely.

Think Im 6 weeks pregnant but ultrasound says 4 weeks Can this be?

I was told the same thing. Based on my lmp I am 6 weeks but I had an ultrasound done 2 days ago that said I was 4 weeks. I wonder if I am 4 weeks along because that is the time of conception since you dont get pregnant the day of your period. It is usually two weeks later when you ovulate. What would the conception date be if an ultrasound today said the baby is 9 weeks and 5 days old?

Somewhere around the end of March.

You are 5 weeks 6 days and you had an ultrasound for the heartbeat which was 100 The Doc wants you to come back in 1 week for another ultrasound to measure the heartbeat again Should you be worried?

No 6 weeks is very early for a scan which is most likely why he would like to see you again in a weeks time.
