By using your trust and understanding level.
This all depends on you. If you like the person, the you should ask you friend out. However, if you don't like that person as much as she/he likes you, then you should tell them how you feel. Telling lies breaks bonds. If she/he is really is your best friend, she/he would understand.
It really depends on why they wanted to stop being friends with you. I would suggest talking to them and telling them that you still want to be friends. If they say no then don't pester them. Move on and find better friends who'll appreciate you for who you are!
He may have been counting on you telling her. Using psychology, knowing you would most likely tell her being her friend.
First of all, a friend who steals anything is not a friend. Automatically. And a best friend stolen, and a girl friend stolen, are not friends either. Sounds like you need new friends. I would personally forget about it and get some more friends.
That means you haven't introduced your other friends to your best friend. I have a friend and tried to convince her that I have more friends than just her but she didn't believe me! I probably should have introduced her to my other friends.
What you should do is tell your friend how you feel and if your friend gets mad then he or her was never your friend at all. choose your friends wisely.
tell them if they were true friends they would help you instaed of their other friend
You should talk to your friend who is dating the other friend's ex about telling her. If she refuses and continues to see the ex, you might want to evaluate her interpretation of friendship and what kind of friend she is. Based on that, you may want to tell the friend yourself if the other refuses.

I would say that you know they are talking about you and that you have plenty of friends and don't need a friend like that in your group.
you would not charge a friend. you would just do that. that's why they are called friends
Honestly if you really trust your friend, then I think that would be your best way of telling if hes not lieing or not. But if you don't really feel so certain or trust what your friend says then just don't try to make it more than that or trust him I guess. But In the end I say you should trust your friend; because he is your FRIEND.
