You should follow your own calling in life ---- never mind your parents.
You are an individual --- it is your choice as to: what will reward you, and what will make you happy.
Follow your own dreams --- and who cares what your parents' want?
YOU --- not your parents --- have to pick that job, vocation or career that best suits what you are looking for, in life --- and that which will make you happy.
I read (somewhere) that a vast majority of people who work for a living are unhappy with their "jobs".
What a shame. How nice it would be if one could follow their dreams and goals --- and be happy with what they're doing. I hope that (this) happens for you.
