Well that all depends on the labor rate of the shop doing the repairs. Parts should cost between $200 & $300 depending on your engine size.(V8 or V6) That job should take about 4 hours to complete. But an estimate should be between $500-$800 for parts and labor.

How do you remove and install throw out bearing on a 2003 Honda Accord coupe 2.4 liter 5 speed?

The short answer: Pull the transmission and put a clutch kit in it. A Honda Accord clutch kit comes with the clutch disc, pressure plate, and a new throwout bearing.Once you get the transmission out, the throwout bearing is slid onto the transmission input shaft and is connected to the clutch arm. You unhook it from the clutch arm, slip it off the shaft and put the new one in its place.

Why might a 1988 Chevy Sprint Metro act like it is stuck in neutral after replacing the clutch and everything except the flywheel?

If you install the throwout bearing incorrectly it can hold the pressure plate open and there will be no mechanical linkage between the transmission and the engine. Before you take it apart to check try adjusting the clutch linkage.

Is there anything to align when replacing a clutch in a 98 Frontier 2wd or is it straight forward?

there is a tool that aligns the clutch disc with the pilot bushing to center it so that the input shaft will line up with the splines in the disc and pilot bushing. These are usually included with the kit which should include the tool, disc pressure plate, pilot bushing, throwout bearing, maybe spline grease. Also, lube the end of input shaft (go easy on the grease) and throwout bearing ball pivot and throwout bearing sleeve(what it rides on). Also when installing new bushing, don't use a punch to install or you will pean over edges and play hell getting input shaft in (use driver tool). Don't get any grease on the disc. Have flywheel resurfaced.

How do you fix a slave cylinder on a 1988 Jeep Cherokee?

Pictures of the steps, especially the "keeper", would be handier than random pictures of Jeeps. You have to drop the transmission, remove the throwout bearing/slave cyl, replace it, re-install the trans, bleed the system.

You must separate transmission from engine. Then the throw out bearing is located on a fork by where tranny attaches to engine. Remove bearing, pack grease into new one, install in reverse order of removing old bearing. You might as well change clutch and pressure plate. Install tranny to engine.
