Your body has a physical reaction to this sudden threat. Adrenaline levels rise, and you begin to feel symptoms much like the ones you listed above. In this case, it is a good thing, because if you are facing something that may threaten your life, you need the extra adrenaline and resources your body is supplying to either fight the bear or flee from the bear.
The same thing happens in some people when they go to speak in front of a large audience. Only difference is, the body and mind perceive a threat like the bear when there is none. So you have the flight or flight response with what seems like no reasonable cause. The sensations you describe are caused by extra adrenaline within the body, which heightens activity in the nervous system.
