∙ 9y agoIf the gears are slipping on a 1995 Honda Civic then the transmission is worn. The transmission will either soon need to be replaced or repaired.

Drive on a 1999 Honda Civic transmission is labeled as D4. D2 is made specifically for lower gears and to help in situations where going slower can help maneuver the vehicle.
I'm not sure I understand the question... Are you asking the P = Park R = Reverse N = Neutral question?
You can't shift gears on an automatic transmission because, as it is called, it's automatic! You don't need to shift, it does it for you. == == Maybe the question should be "Why is my automatic transmission not shifting through gears for me as it should?" Could it be a fairly simlpe fix or am I losing my transmission? Yeah Dopey!
check transmission fluid then go to transmission mechanic. problem may be in computer and be a simple fix

When you have problem shifting gears, you transmission has a problem.
