It could be an associates of arts (AA), an associates in science (AS), or an associates in applied science, depending on the institution, the business department and what their focus is for any particular degree. Typically, an associates in business administration is a transferable program designed for those wishing to pursue a bachelors degree. In this case, it is most likely and AA, however, it could also be an AS. It just depends on the curriculum layout and its focus.
