A bad connection in the wiring. It can be anywhere in the vehicle's wiring, plugs and sockets etc. And even a relay contact. What ever it is will be hot or extra warm to touch because bad connections with that kind of current cause resistance heating. Look for burnt looking connection on plugs. sockets, bottom of all relays xontacts. Put some wd40 on all electrical connections including the blplattery posts lol
yes
Yes, it sure will. The alternator's purpose is to replenish the battery. The alternator may either drain a battery while sitting if the diodes in the rectifier leak current (like a check valve) or may just not maintain the system load while your engine is running. (not keep up to the demand/not charge at all)
get a new alternator and battery
I suggest you buy a new car battery replacement in http://www.laptops-battery.co.uk/.
Is the battery/alt warning light on? if they didn't disconnect the battery while the starter was being replaced and they accidently shorted the battery cable out it could have damaged the regulator of the alternator some of the Delphi regulators are very sensitive to that, but if it tested normal at the parts place, does it run down while driving or while sitting?
re check the two wire connector to alternatorDid you check the Battery connections? Typically, you want to replace the battery with a new one when you replace the alternator. Are you getting any messages in your message center? Stuff like "check Charging System"?What voltage is the battery sitting at with the motor running and the lights on?did you consider the alternator might be bad? Yes, I know, new alternator, but that doesn't mean it's always 100% good.
if you are facing the truck it is on your left hand side of the motor, if you are sitting in your truck it is on the right side of the motor... the side the battery is on.
battery light on 2000 f250 will blink if battery is not properly charged. an example is if you have been sitting all day with stereo olaying and engine not running, you have run battery down some. after starting engine and driving, the battery light will blink while alternator charges until battery is fully charged i have only experienced this at night when lights are on creating extra load for alternator ,after running battery down with stereo all day
There can be many reasons why a 1997 Chevy Tahoe will not start after sitting for three days. Reasons include a dead battery, a bad starter, a bad alternator, a loose wire, and no gas.
Something is pulling power from the battery when the car is sitting idle. Check under hood, trunk, glove box lights, etc. Also can be a stuck relay. A battery may also appear good and have a dead cell. Have it tested.
yes. to much corrosion on terminals can cause this. if your car starts right up after sitting all night, chances are your alternator is OK. clean terminals.
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE BATTERY MAY HAVE A DEAD CELL AND CANNOT HOLD A CHARGE? IS THE ALTERNATOR INFACT PUTTING OUT ENOUGH VOLTAGE TO PROVIDE THE BATTERY WITH A CHARGE, APPROX. 13 TO 14 VOLTS.
