I have a 1998 olds 88 and i had a grinding sound when turning left and found out it was the brake sensor. Letting me know that the brakes were wearing out. I had someone bend the sensor back and it stopped making that noise but now it has started again but now it is a high pitched squealing sound, I would recommend checking your brake pads before you end up having to spend a lot of money changing the rotor. I brought my car to a Midas and told them i needed new brake pads because of the squealing sound and they said i still have half of the pad left. Do not listen to them if they tell you this i should have had them changed because now they are completely wrecked and i have to buy all of the brakes not just pads.

Can you give more detail? Is it squeak, squeak, squeak or squeeeeeeek? I'm assuming that it only occurs when the car is moving. Does putting the brakes on make it change? --Ken It does make squeeeeek sound when car is moving and putting brakes on does change it.
