you probably didnt have it engaged properly. that's happened to me on my friends bronco.
A bad or mis-adjusted neutral safety switch would cause this. It is bolted to the side of the transmission near the shift linkage. Basically it's the only thing down there with an electrical wire harness going to it.
Idle speed too high.
your transmission is going out
Your selector should be in the neutral position. Select 4WD H, and move selector into drive. Your light should stay on. If the light is turning off, you may have a problem with the actuator or hubs. Sometimes going from Park to Drive, your 4WD will disengage.
they dont cause the cant see where they are going
Yes it will but you may have some computer and driveline issues going from an a4od to an e4od
it might be your drive shaft or transmission going out.
change left side windo
i accidentally hit the button sometimes and dont know it til i am going. a few times i have gotten into 4low because i hit the button and as i was switching to drive, i passed neutral and it jumped. my 95 you had to hesitate on neutral.
Depends on if your shifting from 4 Hi or 4 Low to 2 wheel drive. If going from 4 Hi to 2 Hi you can shift it while moving, if going from 4 Low to 2 Hi, you must stop and put it in neutral.
If it has an automatic transmission and it doesn't have a transfer case which can be put into a neutral position, the most likely answer is going to be yes.
will drive: I will drive to work tomorrow.
