Cat Converter,Fuel Pressure Regulator, and MAF Sensor/HO2 Sensor Try checking the fuel pressure with a gauge, not by looking at it coming out of the filter. Also check for spark at the wires end and the coil too!. To get an engine going you have to have Air,Fuel, and spark to have combustion Have you checked for fuel? I would loosen the fuel line to see if there is any fuel present; you may have a bad fuel pump. Mark
Wires between Alternator and Battery, and between Alternator plug connector and fuse box etc.
your Alternator
Is the battery/alt warning light on? if they didn't disconnect the battery while the starter was being replaced and they accidently shorted the battery cable out it could have damaged the regulator of the alternator some of the Delphi regulators are very sensitive to that, but if it tested normal at the parts place, does it run down while driving or while sitting?
Check your battery. And have your alternator checked. Most auto parts stores will do it for free.
Sound like the Alternator or possibly the Regulator died. Get it checked and fixed before it completely destroys your Battery.
bad alternatornot always.if its a bad battery and can't hold a charge the same thing will happen.I had a 99 s-10 that would occasionally die at the pump or even while driving, I had a new defective battery, replaced under warranty, no more problem.I would have the alternator checked out before replacing it if that is the problem. I had my replaced and it wasn't cheap...$630 to be exact. The new alternators run around $200 and most mechanics will change the serpentine belt when they replace the alternator so this MAY be an added expense. If the alt is working properly, you can remove one of the battery cables while the engine is running and it will continue to idle. If it dies then the alt needs to be replaced.
More likely than not the alternator has failed. Have the electrical system checked at almost any auto parts store for free.
check alternator belt may be slipping.if the belt isworn or glazed replace it if problems is still there replace alternator.
Usually when the battery light comes on its the Alternator, or a bad wire from Alternator to battery, but id check Alternator first.
I had the same problem it was the crank shaft positioning sensor, not the camshaft positioning sensor, very different. Kinda a pain to get to but an easy and cheep fix once it is in.
Your battery is weak, or your your alternator is not charging battery.
i had the same problem with my 1999 Nissan maxima and i needed a new alternator so get that checked first turn your car on and disconnect the positive on your battery, if the car shuts down your alternator is bad
