go have your alternator tested. when they start to go out the alternator will create alot of drag on the engine but then work fine and the engine wont have the drag but the alternator wont put out the correct amount of amperage and the votage will drop increasingly
I think the cause of ripple voltage would be from a bad ground or capacitve voltage.
It is the rated test voltage that will not cause insulation breakdown.
A frail fuel line can cause a diesel engine not to start.
it could be many reasons,electrical/ low voltage etc but it is possible if car has an airlock ,water in fuel, wrong fuel is common like putting petrol in a diesel car or vice versa.also dirty injectors for diesel cars
Yes, a corroded battery can cause an intermittent voltage drop.
It is important to know when car parts quit working, and why. A faulty voltage regulator, blown fuse, or the wiring to the battery can cause this problem.?æ
There are several things that can cause diesel fuel to get into your crankcase. A broken piston ring is the most common cause.
A voltage will cause electrons or other charge carriers to flow (if there is a path through which they can flow). In other words, it will cause a current.

because the voltage likes to drop
This causes flow because voltage is what powers a circuit
Sulfer & water content....and if it's off road diesel fuel - the color. It won't cause problems to use diesel in a heating oil tank, but it will cause a whole lot of trouble if you use heating oil in a diesel tank
