Could be several causes, from diet, accidentally ingested toxic foods (chocolate can do it) or other substances; otherwise there could be some underlying health problem. Investigate possible toxins, and if this is ruled out, take your dog to a vet; it's best to be safe and get a professional opinion than risk your pet's health.
