Hi,

The tail light socket boards in these vans are well known for having problems.

If you have a water leak that is getting into the tail light assembly, that will often cause a short circuit across the "circuit board" and socket assembly that is inside the tail light assembly.

What I would recommend it taking the assembly apart and CAREFULLY examining the board and the sockets. Sometimes you will find that there is a partly melted socket, or some other burned component on the board. If you find that condition, you can either try to repair it (if you are good with that kind of thing) or just replace it. You will find many of these circuit board assemblies for sale at auto parts stores, or on line at places like eBay. You might want to consider replacing both boards are the same time if both sides are burning out.

Take Care, Greg
