The current passed through them was too high. Possibly they are cheap cables, (many of them on the market today.) - Cables should be at least 10 gauge wire. Mine are 6. The thicker wire, the better quality your cables are. Anything thinner than 12 gauge is dangerous,.
The jumpers were probably connected incorrectly. Should be positive to positive and negative to negative. Leave one negative connection last and connect to a good ground on the engine if possible.
Hooking up the cables in reverse or low quality cables are two reasons that would cause them to melt.
It's possible if it's the battery from an electric car with high output, but most vehicles have a 12 volt battery and that won't shock you. HOWEVER, a car battery WILL melt jewelry if you touch both sides of the battery to a ring, necklace or other metallic piece of jewelry. Many people have been seriously burned that way.
Yes ,but you have to melt it at 3000'C
if its a points and condenser system that could cause the coil to melt down by a faulty condensor otherwise the coil was either old or a bad vibration caused it to short out and melt down they sometimes fail slowly other times they just go and that's it i never look for a why i just buy another one not a bad idea to keep one at home as a spare or on long road trips
Sea or
sedimentery rock
Yes it can 'melt' metals.
it will arch out and melt the knobs on your battery and your cables
There are two related causes for any connection to melt. The resistance of the connection was high causing excess heat OR The Power draw was to high for the connection. In your case either the connection was dirty or there was short further down the wire.
To close to a hot surface.
Heat energy causes matter to melt. The energy breaks bonds in the matter making looser constructions of the material.
fire/heat makes matter expand the melt away
Melting of the ice caps Global warming causes the ice caps to melt. As they melt, the moving water corrodes at the remaining ice, speeding up the process.
Heat causes any frozen liquid to melt. When a liquid is frozen, all of the atoms come together. When that frozen liquid is heated up, all of the atoms move away from each other which causes it to melt.
Fat.
it`s best that he wouldn't do this but if he does the battery will melt or explode or the wrench will melt the car can even burst in to flames.
The wire will heat up and melt and the battery may be damged.
