Have you had a full-scale workup to determine why you had a miscarriage? It is not always clear why a woman has a miscarriage so your doctor may be basically telling you the truth as he/she knows it. Three miscarriages in such a short time seems unlikely to be just bad luck to me though. If you feel your doctor is not taking you seriously or has not done a complete exam to determine why you miscarried you probably should consider a second opinion. There seems to be an epidemic of doctors now days, who just don't seem to give a damn but I don't know if that is the case with your doctor or not.

Your best chance for a healthy birth and preventing miscarriage is if you are between 18 and 30. Don't drink or smoke. Breath pure air and drink pure water (hard to do in a city). Eat nutritious organic foods. Stay away from toxins and pollution as much as possible. I know that isn't easy in our modern world. Try to avoid stress if you can. Mediation with soothing music can really help with this. A vitamin supplement for women may also be of help.

Herbal treatments:

Black Cohosh and Dong Quai contain plant estrogens that can help balance hormonal fluctuations, (if that is what your problem is). Macafem nutrients help restore natural hormones in women. Most health food stores have such herbs. Herbal treatments are normally quite safe in spite of what the pharmaceutical companies and there pals at the FDA would have you believe, however, some people can react to them. I would advise taking small doses till you know how you are going to handle them. If you don't over do these there shouldn't be a problem. If they don't help in a few months you probably should discontinue them.

Additional info:Instead of a GP (General Practitioner), you should see an OB-GYN, who will be more qualified to properly diagnose and treat the cause of the miscarriages. Not to say your GP is not a good doctor, but it seems as if your GP is in a bit over his head in this area, and not willing to admit it. S/he should have already referred you to an OB-GYN, who specialize in problems such as yours.

Since you've already had two successful pregnancies, there could be some hormal problems going on, or possibly something wrong with your uterus, ovaries, etc. Have your periods been regular?

To have had three miscarriages in five months can take a huge toll on your body, so I would advise you to give your body a rest, and not even try to get pregant for a few months, for your sake, as well as that of the baby, should you conceive again.

As for the answer above suggesting herbal treatments and supplements, you should never take any herbal supplements or remedies of any kind without first talking to your ob-gyn about it. Most of the herbal supplements are not FDA regulated, and you could possibly cause serious harm to your unborn child, as well as to yourself. There have been many serious health problems, and even deaths, caused by some of these herbal supplements and remedies.

Can you have 2 miscarriages in a row and have a healthy pregnancy without medication?

Yes it is possible to have several miscarriages and then a normal pregnancy. I had 3 miscarriages all between 12-15 weeks gestation and then had a normal healthy baby girl. All miscarriages were almost a year apart. On the fourth year a normal healthy baby came to me. I knew I could do this as I had already had one normal pregnancy prior, so my children are 5 years apart almost to the day

Can a healthy woman have a miscarriage?

Most miscarriages happens in the first trimester and the reason is usually because there is something wrong with the fetus. It's Mother Nature's way to take care of a fetus that wouldn't make it any further. So there's nothing wrong with the woman. So yes, healthy women have miscarriages all the time. Almost 1/3 of all pregnancies end in miscarriage.

Besides stress what can go medicaly wrong that may cause a miscarriage?

So many things can cause or contribute to a miscarriage. Most of the time, miscarriages are caused by some type of fetal abnormality, where the fetus isn't developing properly. Many women, however, experience a miscarriage and then go on to have healthy pregnancies afterward. Miscarriages can also be caused by something going haywire in the mother's body, for example with the immune system or the uterus. Sometimes miscarriages even run in a family. Diet is also increasingly being looked at as a contributing factor to miscarriages. Most recently, caffeine consumption was linked to an increased risk for miscarriage as can certain over-the-counter herbal prepations. If you have had a miscarriage or if miscarriages run in your family, doctors can test to find out what may be the cause and take precautions for future pregnancies. Most of the time though miscarriages are an isolated event. Also, if you drink to much or something like smoke, it can cause miscarriages, underdevelopment, or deformation.

Can you have 2 miscarriages in a row and then get pregnant to have a healthy baby?

Yes.

If a miscarriage happens does that mean it was your fault you lost your baby?

You are not at fault. Miscarriages occur for a variety of reasons, usually the simple fact that for some reason the fetus was not able to develop in a normal fashion. This is a common thing. Most women have miscarriages, they simply do not recognize them as such because the pregnancy terminates itself before they realize they are pregnant. You were not so fortunate, but it is highly unlikely that you had anything to do with it. Pregnant women work in the fields, do all sorts of strenuous labor, and have healthy children at the end of healthy pregnancies. That has been true since the beginning of the human race. Your child was simply not meant to be born, for whatever reason, and it was not your fault.

It is not really a question of "healthy". There is nothing in it that's not in you already. You don't gain anything from it. Depends....are you putting in in a vagina? and do you know how to turn yourself on??
