Not sure about a 1200, but on a 1988 sportster 883 its behind the sealed beam headlamp bulb.
You cant just change the bulb, you have to change the whole headlamp.
A faulty crank sensor can do that.
dirty trans fluid might be the cause. have it changed, but not flushd
exhaust?
change the pickup coil in distr
Check the fuses.
Torque converter lock-up solenoid is bad. Common problem with 1988 Beretta.
The shocks are there for a reason. Removing them would cause damage.
The most common cause for this is a plastic connector sleve on top of the gearbox. I got a quote from Porsche for a replacement one and immediately decided I could live with the the play.
