plugged up fuel injector or bad injector itself.
It could.
I would make sure power is getting to the fuel injector use a noid light to test it. You may also want to check the fuel pressure also the intake manifold may have a leak that can cause a misfire as well. Glad your compression is good. That is a sure sign its something simple.
Dry cylinder has 2 definition 1 no fuel is getting to the cylinder 2 no oil getting to it
Plugged fuel filter.
No , it would crank , but if there was no power getting to the electric fuel pump it would not start
High compression is usually caused by either excessive carbon build up, excessive fuel being injected or oil or coolant getting into the cylinder.
Dirty fuel injectors or spark plugs
It isprobably not getting fuel or not getting spark.
dirty fuel filter, bad fuel pump,or clogged fuel lines.start with the fuel filter
Anything that could cause a cylinder misfire can cause the check engine light to flash. A restricted fuel filter is one.Anything that could cause a cylinder misfire can cause the check engine light to flash. A restricted fuel filter is one.
It is getting no fuel. Possibly bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or fuel regulator defective.
If the smoke is white, then there is coolant getting into the cylinder. Blue smoke is from burning oil, and black smoke is from an improper fuel air mix (stopped up air filter or choke stuck stuck.)
