What would cause the check engine light to stay on on a 95 mercury marquis?

There could be many many many causes for this as this is a very general question. Best thing to do would be to go get the code read at your local auto parts store. Now if your not able to repair it yourself you would be better off to take it to a mechanic and get the code read there
