I have the same problem, but now the fuel pump has stopped working completely. I think with all my wizdom that it could be the fuel pump relay. But what do I know. Any way its a good place to start. Regards Wayne
Either the fuel pump isn't working properly or the fuel filter is plugged.
bad or dirty float on the fuel pump in the gas tank.
I doubt it. I have a 01 Alero that had to have a new fuel pump at about 100,000. If you have a leaking regulator, you need to replace it. It is a fire hazard. The symptoms for the bad fuel pump were normal function then it would just stop working. When it cooled down it would work again.
One cause of your fuel data system not working is a faulty oxygen sensor. Another cause of your fuel data system not working is a defective ignition system.
Have you checked the fuel pump and gas tank? Also fuel lines and fuel filter. Low flow will cause one to die because of fuel starvation, but then start again because it takes little to start.
yes
Blown fuse, defective fuel pump relay, clogged fuel filter, or the pump itself is defective.
If it just the fuel gage then your sending unit is not working or their is a broke wire between the tank and the gage. If all your gages are not working check for a blwon fuse.
Bad sending unit in tank.
Bad dash ground.
Incorrect pump timing, low compression, fuel cut solenoid may not be working,
Yes, if the comutator in the pump is worn.
