well it could be a number of things 1 a relay switch simple fix should be on driver side under hood in a box with a label to tell you witch relay is witch or it could be the heater valve but that should not affect your ac so its probably a simple relay switch or brooking wire and maby a fuse try that it should fix it just be sure to disconnect your battery first . that should fix it
The blower motor speed switch is burned out or the fuse is blown.
Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.
BLEND DOOR FAILING TO MOVE TO OPEN UP HEATER CORE ACCESS.

Heater coil
There are a couple of reasons why a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero ac heater to stop working. The heater coil may need to be replaced or the HVAC blower motor may need to be replaced.
Most likely it would be a blown fuse in the fuse block.
if the rear ac is working then you probably have a damper door that is inoperative. this is in the heater/evaporator box. so if it isn't working then you will be heating and cooling at the same time out of the heater box.
First check the coolant level, a coolant leak would cause a heater to stop working- assuming you mean the blower is blowing but it isn't hot. A stuck thermostat will also cause you problems with your heat.
Yes it could also cause the A/C to stop working.
