Could be a faulty thermostat switch in the radiator !!
Something must be draining the battery while it is not running. Usually it is caused by an interior light being left on either inside or perhaps the trunk or one of the doors were not closed completely and thus causing the interior lights to stay on and drain the battery. Otherwise, this will continue and you should plan on replacing the alternater and/or battery
i believe your heater core has died
To get to the battery take the driver's front wheel off.remove the 1/4 in.bolts from the inner fender liner the battery is located inside the access panel there. You need a 1/2 in. socket to loosen the hold down remove the heater wrapping and replace the battery and heater
probably a heater core.....its alot of bs to replace, but the parts shoudlnt cost to much
Cold weather can slow down the chemical reactions inside a battery, which can reduce its ability to generate electricity. This can lead to a decrease in battery performance and a shorter overall lifespan.
what are you running of the battery? also do you have the double electrics for charging battery when driving.if not keeping charge you need a new battery
To replace the heater core in a 2002 Buick LeSabre, first disconnect the battery and drain the coolant from the radiator. Next, remove the dashboard and the heater assembly to access the heater core, which is located inside the vehicle. Disconnect the hoses and any mounting screws, then carefully remove the old heater core and install the new one. Reassemble the dashboard and heater assembly, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
A very basic answer is: The hot water the engine produces is circulated thru the heater core. The heater core looks like the autos radiator only smaller. The heater core is located inside the heater box. So as the engines hot water circulates thru the heater core the heat will transfer into the heater box. As long as the engine is running and everything is working properly the heater core will stay hot inside the heater box.
Test the coolant to see what the freezing point is. If the coolant will not protect enough for the low temps of your area, drain the radiator, heater core and block and leave it empty. Remove the battery and store the battery in a building that doesn't go below freezing and/or connect a battery tender to the battery for the Winter. Rodents can and will build nests and really make a mess of your car inside and under the hood. Purchase some commercial products to discourage them.
The heater core may be plugged or bad. You can either flush the heater core and the 2 lines running thru the firewall to the heater core or you can replace the heater core.
Answer Most of the time the battery is loosing charge on a mower it is bc the battery is going bad. The cells inside are wearing out and not holding a charge. Replace the battery and usually the problem stops. If it is a acid fillable battery then make sure the battery has the proper amount od distilled water and acid in it. Also if it is a serviceable battery then I would replace it with a maintenance free battery anyway. A lot less to mess with. Good luck.
inside of van in vicinity of heater core. to remove, remove battery from engine bay to access bolt that holds it in place
