a loose wire or a broken switch inside the cab
If by "dim headlights" you mean low-beams... the bulbs are bad and must be replaced.
Possibly a defective high beam switch, or associated relay.
Well, first i would replace the low beam bulbs, if that doesn't work, perhaps a fuse, and if not that, wiring problems.
My low beams went out one at a time, after coming on, going off, my husband said, probably the bulbs. No way it could have been cause they went out and came on, went out. It was the bulbs. Walmart changed the high beams the first time, make sure the low beams are changed.
Double check fuse #11 & 13 . Replace those and problem should go away.It worked for me
There are a few things to check, first are the bulbs good? high and low are separate elements and the low could be blown out. Second is check the fuses, high beam and low beams often have separate fuses. Third would be the dimmer switch.
day time running lightwont interfer could be a bad ground or maybe you just got a bad bulb rember not to touch bulbwith hands it cause them to burn out
Likely cause is an electrical problem in the EBCM. Unfortunately it is replaced w/ the abs pump as they are one unit. Very pricey!
i just replaced my starter on my 96 Tahoe because it wasnt working very well, and it still starts like a crap, and its brand new! i think the truck just gets old and things just don't work the same...wire and bolts and such
most likely a bad ground, check connection most likely a bad ground, check connection
check fuses, then most likely need to replace the high/low switch
The light switch.
