One possibility is your wiper motor is bad. Suggestion- replace it.
It means you may have fuel leaking, which is not a good thing.
It is most likely your HT leads or coil pack.
No they are completely different engines.

I have noticed on my 1993 Ford Escort wagon that the bottom pin on the front right caliper is loose. Periodically, I'll have to push it back in ~3/4". My wife noticed a ticking noise coming from the wheel and it was because the pin was actually hitting the inside of the rim. My guess: it worked its way out and then got sheared off by the rim.
