Possibly a blown head gasket, allowing coolant water into the engine cylinders. Check the tail pipe exhaust for water vapor (be careful! it is hot!).
you mean there is coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant either ways sounds like a head gasket problem.
By "thumping" them with your knuckles. As my father used to say: If the watermelon sounds like you are thumping your head, the melon is not ripe enough. If the watermelon sounds like you are thumping your belly, the melon is too ripe. If the watermelon sounds like you are thumping your chest, then the melon is just right.
Your description sounds like engine coolant to me.
It sounds like a jalopy, or it sounds fine. But, you will probably lose coolant throughout the engine and the coolant will mix with the engine oil. Your low coolant light will probably come on a few times a week.
It sounds like engine coolant is getting into the engine cylinder
Sounds like a bad head gasket or cracked head problem but we really need to know the year, make, model and engine to help you.
Sounds like the head gasket is gone
Sounds like engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder
No.
This sounds like a common problem with the 3.1L and 3.4L v6 of the lower intake manifold leaking. TechJK ----------------------
If the engine is fully warmed up and you are still getting white smoke coming out of the tailpipe when the engine is idling , it sounds like engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder from a bad head gasket or some other problem
sounds like your coolant lines, heater core, or both needs replaced. i just replaced the heater core in my truck with the same problem
