Have you checked to see if the spark plugs are firing?
Fuel pressure regulator built into fuel filter
the FPR(fuel pressure regulator) is part of the fuel filter assembly. Which will cost you about $60-$80
The gas is probably not leaking into the filter but the engine. It's caused by a broken diaphragm on the fuel pressure regulator. Replace regulator
The filter is part of the fuel pump/strainer/pressure regulator assembly in the fuel tank.
Its included in the fuel filter 98-02
I belive it to be built into the fuel filter on the e46
Fuel regulator is part of the fuel filter under the car by the drivers side passenger door
Check to see whats missing when it won't start. Needs fuel & gas to run.
Fuel filter, fuel regulator are fuel pump.
If you are certain it is low fuel pressure and you've changed the pump and filter the next thing would be the fuel pressure regulator. Also check to make sure none of the fuel lines are crushed closed.
Try replaceing the filter or the fuel pressure regulator.
Check: - tune up (plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve) - fuel pressure/fuel pressure regulator/fuel pressure relay
