there should be a electronic plug on your gearbox, unplug that and screw out the sensor, but make sure its not the reverse sensor, if its the st or sport then its the abs sensor but that wil make you dash lights come on and show no milleage
i dont know if the fiesta mk6 speedo is electric or mechanical, but if were mechanical, it would either be a bad speedo cable, a bad speedo, or a bad gearbox. if it were electrical, i would think that again it could be the speedo, or it could be the wiring, the sensor, or a computer if there is one
If the speedo stops also, it is the speed sensor. If just the odometer, take it to a speedo shop.
If just one headlight quit working it probably burned out. If both headlights quit working at the same time the fuse probably blew.
Do you mean the speedo, or the fuel guage?
Have you checked your fuses? My father had a 88 Chevy and the speedo fuse would fall out of the holder.
The logical problem - would be a broken speedo cable. The speedo & odometer are both run from the same cable.
It could be your window regulator.
check all of your fuses all you have to do is do an ohm test probe one side and the other side you dont even have to take them out
you need new clocks or (map sensor) or speed sensor together :-( had this prob my self
There is no speedo cable on a 96, GM quit using them in 1987. You have a speed sensor, which is located on the top rear of the transmission. It will have a couple wires coming off it in a plug, that run thru the computer, then to the speedo. If your speedo has quit working, has it also set a check engine light? If so, I would recomend replacing the speedo sensor.
If your car has a manual speedo, it can be in it or the cable. Noises have to be heard to be correctly diagnoised.
I think that's supposed to be an S It would mean that the speed sensor isn't working or there is another problem with the speedo-ODO.
