If Cosmo didn't have to die in Sonic X, it would likely have changed the narrative and storyline of the show. Her character arc and relationship with Tails would have likely continued, and she could have played a more significant role in future episodes. Additionally, the emotional impact of her death on the other characters and fans would not have been felt.
