If individuals in a species never reproduce ,it would mean an end to that species on earth
population
My take is that a species has slightly different needs for survival, such as the food sources and climate. Individuals from the same species will have the same needs and have to share the same limited resources too, while individuals from another species will not be as interested in the same items. Scarcity of what one needs to survive creates a competitive environment with others who have the same interest.
As all the cloned individuals are identical they have exactly the same strengths and weaknesses. If the environment changes rapidly in a way that makes it harder for them to survive then most or even all individuals may be eliminated before any evolved better ways to survive in the changed environment. In species that have other means of reproduction available their populations have greater diversity in strength and weaknesses, so there is a greater chance that some individuals will already be able to better survive in the newly changed environment. Those individuals will pass on their traits to the next generation.
Nothing would happen at all.
Both. We're all the same species (we can all breed with each other), but we're all unique individuals (even twins are unique).
If all individuals in a species were sterile the species would become extinct
Then it would be the end for that species in one generation.
nothing at all
It would soon loose all its animal species too.
they can inter breed and produce fertile offspring.
Without children, our society would not have future generations to carry on our values, traditions, and innovations. We would also not have caregivers for the elderly, teachers, and workers to sustain our economy. The absence of children would also impact the social structure and dynamics of our communities.
what would happen is that the animal species would become an invasive species and they would eat all of the plants and food sources, which would starve out animal and human resources, which then would die out animal and human species, and without them, the plants soon will die out, which then they're would be nothing to take care of the earth.
Because if all of the individuals had the same genetic information then if the species was introduced to a new disease or environment the individuals have the possibility of all dying. If a select few individuals had different DNA that allowed them to be resistant to a disease then they would be able to survive and save the species from extinction.
We would be lumps of skin and all blubbery. Also we would just be giant puddles of muscle.
population
Fish would die. There are species of fish that live off the algae.
All of the animals would die. Cuz the animal that ate the plankton would die then the next species would die.
