Suicide missions in aviation by Japanese pilots in World War 2 were deliberately flying their aircraft into a ship or another aircraft. The Japanese believed this was a high sign of bravery and loyalty to their country.
Kamikaze pilots in World War 2 were Japanese fighter pilots who took drugs (usually) then flew suicide missions. They would load their planes with explosives and deliberately crash their planes into American battle ships and whatnot, viewing it as a personal sacrifice for the emperor.
Kamikaze pilots would crash into their enemies for the good of their country during World War II.
Kamikaze pilots were Japanese suicide pilots in World War 2. Because of limited armaments and lack of skilled pilots, young men were trained to fly their planes, loaded with explosives, into US ships. The word kamikaze means "divine wind."As with other air attacks on the US Navy, improved anti-aircraft weapons meant that very few of the kamikazes made it to their target. However, one or two would be enough to severely damage or sink a large warship, especially if they hit an ammunition magazine or fuel bunker.
The meaning of the word Kamakazi is "Suicide". Literally translates to "divine wind". Japanese World War II pilots who suicide bombed US warships near the end of WW 2.
Extremely Unlilkely. This is a sordid suicidal mission. Japan did not have, with very few civilian exception, Female pilots, or Aviatrixes to begin with and certainly in a somewhat misogynistic society as was Prewar Japan, they would not be encouraged to enter the armed forces except in non-combatant roles such as Nurses. It is extremely unlikely any ((99) Kamikaze Gals.
The pilot would believe that he has failed. These pilots were given the job to give up their life for their country. If they did not die, they lost their honor.
You have got stories mixed up. -In the Pacific in WW2 some JapaneseNavy pilots were "kamikaze" fliers. That is , as a death ritual the would commit suicide by flying into enemy ships. These were American and British ships, not U-boats.
"Divine Wind" (Kamikaze) - suicide bomber .
You wouldn't be able to breathe and wouldn't have survived
Well Kamikazes were Japanese air force pilots who drove their air plains into their target with a bomb rigged to explode on contact killing themselves like a suicide bomber so a kamikaze tactic is practically suicide but i think it would be with a vehicle actually the last kamikaze attack i remember was the planes that flown into the towers on 9/11
There is a book that you might be able to find in your local library or get on loan from another larger library. It's titled The Divine Wind. The book was writen by two Japanese officers who commanded air bases where Kamikaze fliers were stationed. It should answer all your questions. Library of Congress Number ISBN 0-553-12578-8Kamikazes were Japanese pilots who were on suicide missions. They were insructed to run their planes into ships or bases in hope to kill. The Kamikaze pilots were trained in wooden crates as there were not enough planes to train them in. Also, the Kamikaze's only needed to be in the air long enough to find a target.More intriguing is: Why did Kamakize pilots wear helmets?
