Since spindle fibers are involved in separating chromosomes and centrosomes duringmitosis, you would have impaired mitosis. The spindle is largely made of organized microtubules, which help chromosomes line up during metaphase and then separate during anaphase. The cell has many "checkpoints" which will check to make sure that chromosomes are properly lined up and attached before they can be separated. If the spindle fibers are not properly formed, it would be harder to get past the checkpoint, and so mitosis would be delayed or would not occur at all. If there are mutations in checkpoint proteins (such as in cancer cells), mitosis may proceed but the chromosomes may not be separated normally (resulting in "aneuploidy").

They would die because spindle fibers isn't for indiviuals itz mostly dealing with the different phases of mitosis

What do you predict would happen if the spindle fibers were disrupted during the metaphase?

If the spindle fiber were disrupted, the duplicated chromosomes would not be separated.

What would happen if the spindle fibers did not form in a cell that is undergoing mitosis?

If spindle fibers failed to form in a cell during division, both daughter cells would become non-viable shortly after division. The spindle fibers pull one set of chromosomes into each of the daughter cells, so without them there cannot be an equal division of genetic material.

What exactly happens in phase 4?

There are many things that happen in phase 4 of Mitosis. In phase 4 of Mitosis, the prophase chromosomes separate into pairs. Spindle fibers begin to form.

Name four things that happen during telophase?

1:Chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of cell. 2:Nuclear Envelope and Nucleolus reform. 3:Chromosomes uncoil. 4:Spindle Fibers disintegrate.

What would happen if there were no spindle checkpoints?

If there were no spindle checkpoints then the chromosomes wouldn't be in the right position for the reproduction of the cell.

What happen before prophase occur?

During prophase, the chromatin fibers present in the nucleus coil tightly into observable chromosomes. The centrosomes move away from each other and spindle microtubules begin to grow from them; this marks the formation of the mitotic spindle.

Explain why prophase is the longest phase in mitosis?

because the most things happen in it. centrioles grow, spindle fibers arrange on chromosomes, and the cell grows exponentially.

What will happen to the production of extracullular enzymes if the Golgi apparatus is absent?

Most would be unable to exit the cell, as the Golgi apparatus is responsible for packaging before they are released from the cell.

What will happen if hisher neurons failed to produced neurotransmitters?

What happen when muscles shorten?

What happens when a muscle shortens is that it is contracting. This is when the fibers of the muscles generate tension.

It will remove the color (bleach it) and weaken the fibers.
