There would be no Civil War
If it was the Confederate soldiers, the Union would attack the Confederates. If it was the Union soldiers, then the Confederates would attack the Union.
lets takes this step by step. 1. union (USA) was against slavery and confederates was for slavery 2. the choose to be two countries 3.if they won then we would have slavery and still be in two contries
There were three parts to the Anaconda Plan: 1. Western Campaign- This helped the Union gain control of the Mississippi Valley and cut off shipment of supplies for the Confederates. It completely cut off Texas and Arkansas from the rest of the Confederate States and supplies could not reach them. 2. Eastern Campaign- Helped Union gain control of the Eastern side of the land, the idea being that the Confederates would get no imports or send exports. It would have given the Union control of the eastern seaboard. 3. Naval Blockade- The Union would block areas such as the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean with ships. This way they could easily take over waterways.
If you mean who they fought against than that would be the Confederates.
The Confederates in Charleston were threatening the Union garrison on the island of Fort Sumter. Lincoln declared that the Union would continue to occupy all its positions. The Confederates under General P.G.T. Beauregard opened fire on the island fort. The war was on.
As a group, they were called the Confederate States of America. If they would have finalized their secession from the Union, this would probably have been what their country would be called. The soldiers that fought for the Union were usually called Confederates or Johnny Rebs.
No , the Former Confederates probably weren't treated fairly in West Virginia after the war by most union people , but it would be somebody's opinion on it .
Because they had committed a form of treason, and their loyalty needed to be officially confirmed.
They would be divided into military districts headed by union generals
The Tories saw the bill as a sign of French Domination of the union & their own loss of power. Hope this helped! (:
union would have lost
People like the north and the south fought so they had a battle!! I guess you are asking WHY did it happen. The Confederates heard that Fort Davidson (near Pilot Knob, MO)was protected by 1,500 Union troops and 7 guns. The Confederates had 12,000 men but not all of them had guns. So the capture of the fort looked like an easy victory that would help to re-arm their troops. The Confederates began their attack with a very minium artillery barrage and attacked with infantry and were repulsed with 1000 casualtes. That night as the Confederates rested and prepared to assault it the next day, the Union troops escaped with about 200 casualties.
